Onye Agbodike

DetectiveOnyemauche GarciaPresident

Onyemauche “Onye” Garcia has been with the Menifee Police Department since October 2020. Onye is currently assigned to the Detective Bureau as a General Detective, and she was appointed as a Menifee Police Officers Association board member in January 2023.

Onye earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University, and a master’s degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Onye began her career in law enforcement in 2014 with the Lompoc Police Department, where she served as a Detention Officer, Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer and Juvenile Crimes Detective. Investigative SpecialistMegan BorundaSecretary

Megan Borunda has been a member of the Menifee Police Department since August 2020. She currently serves as an Investigative Specialist in the Detective Bureau and is the Secretary for the Menifee Police Officers Association (MPOA).

Megan holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from San Diego State University (SDSU). She began her law enforcement career over 11 years ago while studying at SDSU, where she worked as a Community Service Officer (CSO) and Dispatcher.

Police OfficerMelissa MillerTreasurer

Melissa Miller has been a police officer since being hired by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 2013 and has been serving the city of Menifee since 2020. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Spanish from the University of Redlands and a master’s degree in justice administration. Melissa is currently assigned to patrol and is also a Field Training Officer (FTO). She further serves as an advisor for the Explorer program, and regularly assists with community events. Read More

Kevin Brooks

K-9 OfficerKevin BrooksBoard Member

Kevin Brooks is a board member of the Menifee Police Officers Association. He has been involved in the MPOA since its inception in May 2020. Kevin is happily married, the proud father of six adult kids and the proud grandfather of nine grandkids. e spent 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, where some of his duties included being a drill instructor, small arms weapons instructor, hand-to-hand combat instructor, and platoon sergeant for a reconnaissance and sniper platoon. He also served as security for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of Defense. Read More

Investigative SpecialistNicole KempBoard Member

Nicole Kemp has been a member of the Menifee Police Department since May 2020. She currently serves as an Investigative Specialist in the Detective Bureau and is the non-sworn representative for the Menifee Police Officers Association (MPOA). 

Nicole holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Faulker University and is in the process of obtaining her master's degree in Justice Administration from Faulker University. She began her law enforcement career over 8 years ago.  Read More

Police OfficerTyquan ThomasBoard Member

Officer Tyquan Thomas began his law enforcement career in 2012 with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, serving in both custody and transportation at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. He later worked patrol at the Compton Station, gaining experience in gang investigations, traffic enforcement, and mentoring new deputies. Read More

About Menifee POA

The Menifee Police Officers Association was formed in May 2020 to be the bargaining unit of the newly established Menifee Police Department in Southwest Riverside County, representing members in contract negotiations and ensuring they are treated fairly in the workplace.
